Plastic Nature
A conceptual animation art project
Concept Note : Plastic - indestructible, imperishable consumes the nature, us. Squeezing the life out, destroying the nature from it's unstoppable toxic force, it persists to live with us. It's a war against natural and man made, a war between nature and man, a war that the man has seemingly declared on himself. We are our own destruction, over-using plastic, persistently, endlessly, only for it to rot us, decay us in the end. My artwork " Plastic Nature" signifies the man-made plastic, that is enveloping the nature, the earth. A journey of it's catastrophic, cataclysmic repercussions on the earth. Suffocating us, surrounding us, the plastic is slowly leading to the end of our beginning - the nature. The nature is claustrophobically fighting, resisting it's unbeatable nature, only to fail as the plastic, as we overpower the nature. The end of the animation comes to a seemingly abrupt end, showing the nature still fighting yet losing this war to plastic, as we are, right now. This art piece is metaphorical to the present, to - our journey, which we are still on, we are on the edge to be destroyed, right on the edge to finish, but not quite finished completely. Is there hope still left? Can we as humans save the earth? That's for us to decide.
